Covid-19 Update – Phased Reopening Information

For your safety, during lockdown we have been busy making our store COVID SAFE to enable us to reopen in a safe and controlled manner.

To help us keep you all safe our Safety protocol information will be clearly displayed on signs and posters outside and inside the store and will include the following guidelines:

New Procedures:

1. No WALK INS allowed – strict appointment only system…. Please try to arrive ‘on time’ for your appointment, try not to arrive early or you may have to queue outside. Our appointment times have been modified to allow sufficient time for cleaning between customers and to avoid waiting time.

2. SOCIAL DISTANCING is a must and only 2 persons per appointment are allowed at any one time. We are unable to accommodate friends, family or dependants due to social distancing requirements.

3. Hand Cleaning – Customers must use hand sanitiser provided upon entry to the shop and hand sanitiser will be available for frequent use during your appointment – Customers will be asked not to wear gloves, unless passed to them once in the shop.

4. Customers must wear a face mask covering when attending your appointment. If you are unable to bring your own they will be available to purchase at reception for £1.00.NO FACE MASK COVERING NO ENTRY.

5. If you, anyone in your householder or anyone you have been in contact with are unwell and/or have a high temperature, continuous cough or any symptoms of COVID19 please do not enter the shop and call us to reschedule.

6.Customers will be asked if we can take their temperature with a non contact thermometer as a precaution – temperatures over 38 c may be asked screening questions and possible refusal of entry.

The following are also new procedures in place for our staff to follow:

1. Staff will have their temperatures taken every morning if temperature is over 38 c they will be asked screening questions and possible refusal of entry.

2. Staff will frequently wash their hands following government guidelines.

3. Staff will have sanitised hands and carry sanitiser on their person to use frequently.

4. Staff will wear disposable aprons if coming in close contact with customers, which will be discarded after every use (alteration fittings).

5. Staff will wear disposable masks, at all times and have access to face shielding visors for close contact purposes.

6. Staff will be provided with gloves should it be requested.

7. Our staff is being trained in enhanced cleaning protocols and health and safety practice going forward.

The shop will be sanitised before and after each appointment, appointment times will be given so there is enough time to get the shop sanitised ready for the next customer so we request you DO NOT COME EARLY.

Once we are open to new customers:

The same procedures will be in place but we are taking extra measures regarding looking at dresses, choosing dresses and trying on dresses by new customers.

The dresses will be handled by staff only where possible and customers will be asked to sanitise their hands frequently. The dresses will either be steamed cleaned and replaced back in the store once dry or be stored out of bounds for 72 hours until we know they are safe after being tried on.

Staff will either sanitise their hands in between each dress tried on or wear gloves at customer’s requests.

The changing room will be sprayed with sanitiser including carpets and curtains after the customer has left, ready for the next customer.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all back to our COVID SECURE store.
